Transfers from and to the airport

When planning your way to the airport and back, there are basically three options:

  • Taking a cab: Usually a good choice, please make sure the driver is okay before going into the cab. It doesn’t happen often, but we’ve had a few guests that were really overcharged for their ride.

  • Booking a private chauffeur: This is more expensive than a cab, but the chauffeur will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name and will help you with your luggage. Booking a chauffeur also makes sense if you assume that one cab won’t be enough (depending on the number of people and the amount of luggage), because big vans can sometimes be hard to get on your way out of the airport. If you’d like to book such a service, we could help you with our contacts.

  • Uber: Although Uber's American business model is illegal in Germany because of the legal requirement of professional drivers, Uber does operate in Berlin by via local contractors of professional drivers. It means that our local version of Uber is more expensive than in most places, but usually a bit cheaper than a cab.

  • Last but not least, you could of course use Berlin’s public transportation – depending on the amount of luggage you have, that might be your best choice - and definitely the least expensive.

In case of doubt, please don't hesitate to ask for our advice.
