Trying to cover both topics on one day is a challenge that we're up for! Our tour will cover, on the one hand, the highlights of contemporary Berlin, that has risen again in the former border zone between East and West; and on the other hand, we will also visit the most important sites within the Jewish quarter.
This is a concise tour that especially suits professionals and business people that come to Berlin for a convention or a fair, which they have to attend during most of their time in Berlin, thus leaving only a short time for touring. This tour aims at making the best of this short time for getting to know the tension between the difficult past and the intriguing present.
We will see:
The government and parliament district with the Chancellor’s office and the Reichstag (outside)
Brandenburg Gate and Paris square
The Holocaust memorial
The location of Hitler’s bunker
Potsdamer Platz
The Berlin Wall
The “New Synagogue”
The famous Hackesche courtyards
The “Stumbling Stones”
The old Jewish cemetery
Otto Weidt’s workshop for the blind
The Jewish school
The “Missing House” memorial
...and many other places in between - please don't hesitate to contact us for more details.
