One day, mostly German sites - a model itinerary

Our day will focus on Berlin's historical center, so we can cover all the highlights of Berlin's German history, including:

• Brandenburg Gate

• Checkpoint Charlie

• The Berlin Wall

• Unter den Linden

• The Book Burning square with its challenging memorial of an empty library

• The government district with the Reichstag and the Chancellor's Office (outside)

• Potsdamer Platz and its architecture (including the famous Sony Center)

• Gendarmenmarkt

• Humboldt University, including the gallery of Nobel laureates

• The National Memorial of Germany (“Neue Wache”), which they created to commemorate their own soldiers

...and many other locations that are often overlooked. Most of the tour will take place in the East, but we can also include a visit to the center of West-Berlin (the Kurfürstendamm avenue with the famous Memorial Church).
