Since our last "new year message", we have waited long for the return of Ran Gvili, our last hostage. Now we can finally express our endless gratitude to our father, the holy one of Israel, and to our soldiers, many of whom from the diaspora (including Germany). In retrospect, this victory might not have been possible without Jewish solidarity around the world. In spite of antisemitism and even terrorism, Jewish communities across the globe have demonstrated amazing steadfastness, standing together against all the social and physical violence, in support of each other and of our people as a whole. This is what Klal Yisrael is all about, and we are grateful to be witnessing such a time in our history. Blessed be he who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this time.
